Updates and Revisions to the Family Handbook 08/09

The Family Handbook was originally published April 8th, 2008. Since then, there have been a few changes.


  • newest pg 73-74 Course Descriptions updated for Team Sports and PE 4-6

  • newest pg 89 Bio for Ben Nissley added

  • Bio revised for Pamella Sealander

  • Pamella Sealander will not be teaching the PE classes, she will be taking over the Science K, 1-2, and Algebra 1 classes.

  • Ben Nissley will be the new PE teacher for grades 4-6 and Team Sports. Welcome aboard Ben!

  • Some wording was tweaked in the Policies section of the Handbook. Please read the section referenced to see the changes in their proper context.

    • pg 11 Service Requirement Policies "Parents please dress modestly at all times, especially when performing service hours.”

    • pg 15 Dress and Grooming  “Anything that could be a distraction to others should be avoided.”

  • Welcome Katie Miller who will be taking over the Violin classes and Kelly Farnsworth who will be teaching Preschool.

  • The Christian Leadership class with Mike Cramer (3rd period; fall semester) for high school will not be offered in the 2008-2009 academic year. It has been removed from the Handbook.

  • The Christian Worldview class with Dan Gritsko (3rd period; fall semester) for high school will be offered in the 2008-2009 academic year.

  • pg 48 Material Fees change for Latin II: Was $20, now $10*
    * The materials fee is an estimate.  There may be an additional $10 materials fee in the Spring depending on books purchased/copies made

  • pgs 48-49 Textbooks for Latin I and Latin II updated.

  • pg 62 Textbook: American Government in Christian Perspective by Abeka, 2nd edition

  • pg 75 Sports Games and Outdoor Fun material fee change: Was $20, now $10*
