Students learned about scuba diving today during a guest presentation. Mrs. Susan Finlen shows students how to use flippers and how to put on the oxygen tank and vest. It was definitely easier to walk backwards with flippers on!

Students try to lift the heavy scuba gear attached to the oxygen tank. It would not feel so heavy once it is in the water!

Mr. Chip Earle, owner of Dive Connections in Charlottesville, along with scuba instructor and former homeschool mom, Mrs. Susan Finlen explain to the science students how to put on scuba equipment. One student tries it on!
